· Returns will not be accepted without prior authorization. You must have an RMA number from returns department.
· Refund amount subject to change upon inspection of return item.
· 20% Restocking Fee on ALL Returns.
· Special order items MAY NOT be returned.
· All returns must be shipped prepaid, insured and traceable using UPS/FedEx/USPS.
· Customer is responsible for all shipping charges.
· Collect shipments will be refused.
· All parts must be returned in the original condition.
· Any damage resulting from improper installation or use, or lack of maintenance will not be covered in this policy. All wearable parts are warranted at the sole discretion of 505 Performance, unless returned unopened and unused condition.
· 505 PERFORMANCE reserves the right to review your claim and determine if a store credit, refund or exchange is appropriate. 505 Performance may withhold warranty coverage for damages caused by improper installation and any use or abuse of the vehicle, including the lack of maintenance and/or extraordinary stresses caused by street, road or track racing. The final decision for a credit, return or replacement is made at the discretion of 505 Performance and any other OEM Supplier/Manufacturer of the part(s). 505 Performance is not responsible for defects of other manufacturer's products or their return policies, though 505 Performance will intercede on your behalf with OEM Suppliers/Manufacturers where possible. 505 Performance is not responsible for any products that are improperly installed, installed with non-compatible equipment, abused, improperly used or improperly broken in.
PRODUCT AND ENGINE RETURNS
If you ordered the incorrect part or don't need the part you ordered, we have a 20% restocking fee. If you ordered the incorrect Engine, Short Block, Transaxle or Transmission, we have a 20% restocking fee. Prior approval for return is required. Contact us, via email sales@505performance.com for return instructions. There are no returns on electrical items. It is the customer's responsibility to return items in re-sellable condition (in the original packaging with all components in a re-sellable condition).
Shipping expense is the customer's responsibility. Shipping charges ARE NOT REFUNDABLE. Return requests must be made within 10 business days of item receipt. After 10 business days items are no longer eligible for return. Sorry, no returns on electrical items are allowed. Returns cost money, including, but not limited to, credit card fees (that are charged for taking AND returning payments - so double the CC fees), storage and handling charges, re-packaging, etc. You are doing us both a favor by insuring you have the correct part/engine ahead of the order by emailing us prior to the order with your model & type number (or model & spec number) to make sure it is right for you.
All the products we sell and distribute are warranted by the manufacturer of the product. We do not manufacture any products. You will need to contact the manufacturer or your local dealer for warranty information and repairs. Parts that have been installed and engines that have been started, had oil or gas added or have been modified in any way, ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR RETURN and are handled by the manufacturer’s warranty!
ANY AND ALL CLAIMS OF A FAULTY PART OR ENGINE MUST BE RESOLVED THROUGH THE MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY PROCESS AND THE REPORT OF ANY SUCH CLAIM MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A WRITTEN RECEIPT FROM A VALID SERVICE DEALER FOR SAID MANUFACTURER.
Claim must be scanned and emailed to us for consideration.
A part not working as desired may be part of a larger issue (i.e. A seemingly faulty carb may be a result of low compression or a venting problem and a seemingly faulty coil may be a result of a bad ground on a stop switch.)
ENGINES/PARTS:
If you ever receive a product that is defective due to workmanship or materials, just contact your local repair center for factory warranty repair. If you are having trouble locating a factory repair center, call us and we will help you locate a repair center. If you ordered the incorrect part online or don't actually need the part you ordered, we have a 20% restocking fee. If you ordered the incorrect Engine, Transaxle or Transmission we have a 20% restocking fee. Sorry, no refund available on special order engines or parts. Special order engines and/or parts are not returnable. Parts described as non-returnable are not returnable. Shipping expense is nonrefundable including engines/parts that advertise free shipping. Actual shipping cost will not be refunded regardless of the shipping charged. In other words, if you order a part and want to return it and we've given you free or discounted shipping, your refund will be the total of your payment minus any actual shipping charges (including any factory freight charges) minus 20% of the remainder. For engines where shipping was charged, your refund will be for 80% of the price paid for the engine unless our shipping cost was higher than what was collected. If shipping was higher than what was collected the refund will be the total minus the shipping charges we paid, minus 20% for re-stocking. If you order the wrong engine or part and refuse shipment, we are charged return shipment fees and you will be responsible for those fees as well. Returns must be complete and include the original packaging.
All requests for returns must be received within 2 weeks of the receipt of merchandise as reported by the carrier.
If we have recommended an engine/part for your application that was not correct, email us a copy of the email quote and we will waive the restocking fee.
We highly recommend you email us before ordering your engine/part to be sure it will work for your machine. In some cases, we will send you to the manufacturer for this information. (After all, they know the engines better than anybody) In other cases we may email line drawings and other information to help you make an informed choice or we may have to do extensive research to find the best possible solution.
The customer is responsible for assuring that the engine/part ordered will work for their specific application before ordering. Do not order an engine just because you have the same model. There are multiple specs for each make and model of engine and the only way to truly match your engine is to evaluate both the model and type number (or model & spec number)
Website images are representative, actual engine/part may vary from the image shown. In the case of any discrepancy the written description of the engine will rule.
Some modifications may be required, if the model and type purchased differs from original model and type. Any and all said modifications are at the consumers expense.
DAMAGE POLICY: (Normal packages - Regular UPS, FedEx or USPS)
All shipments must be inspected before accepting. If the shipment is damaged or looks like it has been improperly handled, you must notify the delivery driver. If engine has been damaged excessively, you should refuse the shipment. If your package is left at your residence while you are gone and it looks or has been damaged, please email us with pictures of the damage so we can notify the carrier.
DAMAGE POLICY: (Truck ship packages - LTL; Applies to ALL truck shipments regardless of carrier)
All shipments must be inspected before accepting. If the shipment is damaged or looks like it has been improperly handled, you must note ALL damage on the Bill of Lading and send us, via email, pictures of the damage. If engine has been damaged excessively, you should refuse the shipment. In the case of minor damages, provided the above policy has been complied with, we will immediately (or as soon as possible) ship replacement parts. If the above has not been complied with (i.e. damage is not noted on the Bill of Lading) we will, at our discretion, arrange a discount for the required replacement parts.
There is no such thing as "concealed damage" on truck shipments. ALL DAMAGE MUST BE NOTED ON THE BILL OF LADING AT DELIVERY. NO EXCEPTIONS
Carriers: UPS, FedEx Freight, UPS Freight (Most Engines over 90 lbs are shipped via truck & you will be notified of the carrier)
